Christmas fundraising at the Leeds office

Christmas in the Leeds office was met with lots of festive cheer. We held dress down days all through December and cake sales from Sarah Topping and her mum (these went down a treat).

Katherine Hill and Andy Walton had two hampers donated which were raffled and the proceeds going to Hope Pastures – this is a charity that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes horses, ponies and donkeys – Hope Pastures. It proved to be very popular and £129 was raised, which is being matched by The Kier Foundation.

On Thursday 21st December, we held another dress down day as this was the majority of people’s last day at work. A tombola was organised with treats bought by the company and bottles donated from subcontractors. By the time we had drawn the raffle, a queue had formed for the tombola to start. Lots of tickets were purchased and prizes ranged from sweets to biscuits to bottles of alcohol.

On our final day before Christmas we held another dress down day which was followed by bacon butties for all in the office and a couple of games of bingo (dabbers at the ready!).

Thank you to all who joined in and supported us with our events – in total we have raised £490.40 with £361.40 going to The Kier Foundation.

The Foundation aimed to raise £10,000 throughout December but they have smashed this target and are looking at around the £21,000 figure – amazing!
