Shakespeare’s Globe in the North

Shakespeare’s Globe in the North

NWCH Framework partner Kier were delighted to support Liverpool Light Night on 18th May

LightNight is the city’s one night arts festival celebrating the incredible arts and culture on offer in Merseyside.

At one of the oldest medical societies in the world at Liverpool Medical Institution member of the community could discover the alternative Shakespeare story focusing on Prescot in Knowsley, the only english town outside of London to have a purpose-built indoor playhouse in the Elizabethan and Jacobean eras, Shakespeare North will create a replica of Inigo Jones’s theatre.

Shakespeare North will once again make Knowsley a place where actors, writers, students and young people will be able to study and practise the plays of Shakespeare.

The event was supported by local theatre and art groups and we were able to provide further information of the exciting new theatre.
