Gay Pride in Liverpool

Liverpool Pride brought together all members of the community, creating a festival of inclusion. The theme for the 2018 festival was #AlltogetherNow – no matter sexuality, gender, race, belief or however you identify – we are #AlltogetherNow.

The festival started with the Pride March starting from St George’s Hall and finishing at Tithebarn Street with key note speakers providing inspirational words to the participants and energising everyone before taking the message to the streets. Liverpool Pride is held each year in memory of Liverpool lad Michael Causer and his parents are key to the event and always start the parade. This year was Liverpool’s 8th consecutive year of Pride, bigger and better than ever, attracting thousands of people to Liverpool City Centre.

Kier Liverpool sponsored the official Liverpool Pride 2018 brochure with other member of the Liverpool Regional Construction Group (LRCG) to support the event and to share the message of our inclusive construction industry. We are key members of the LRCG who’s aim is to work collaboratively for the creation of jobs, apprentices and local supply chain in the Liverpool region.

The Pride event was attended by members of the FA Parklife Scheme who have also supported the LRCG with work placements, shared apprentices and use of the local supply chain and took the colourful pictures at the fantastic sunny weekend of activities.
