NWCH Site Visit to FA Parklife Simpson Ground

Following a request from the North West Construction Hub (NWCH) to all Framework Partners to accommodate a site visit, Kier volunteered the FA Parklife Project. Members of the Project, Bid and Supply Chain Teams worked collaboratively to deliver a presentation at the Simpson Ground, one of the four FA Parklife projects awarded to Kier via the NWCH, and currently being delivered by our Liverpool team. Once complete the site will consist of 3 no. 3G Artificial Turf Pitches, six changing room pavilion, coach-education hub and large community room and facilities, a new large car park and improv ed access provision into site.

The site visit consisted of an informative presentation which included;

An overview of the FA Parklife Project
How the scheme is important to local grassroots football and to the city of Liverpool
Challenges faced and solutions devised
Installation of the 3G Pitches
Modular Construction
The wonderful CSR activities undertaken so far

With the sun beaming it was only fitting for attendees to view the completed pitch at Simpson Ground. All attendees commented positively, and fed back to us that the visit was thoroughly interesting and impressive.

Thank you to all involved in working together to produce a great site visit; Wayne Blair, Nick Orton, Michael Norris, Emma Tyler, Joe O’Riley, Lisa Pearman, Neil Carson and Trevor Gordon (Charles Lawrence Surfaces). Finally a big thank you to Integra and the Simpson Ground Site Team for assisting with working around a presentation on site. All the site team were very accommodating on control of noise, access and a low key presence.
