Time capsule buried at Blackrod Primary School

TO BE OPENED IN 2068

R&M Developments kindly donated a time capsule to Blackrod primary school to celebrate the successful end to a fantastic project. John Scur, of R&M, had the honour of sealing the capsule after the items had been added by the school children during a special assembly this morning.

The capsule contains lots of pieces including todays newspapers, photographs of all year groups, letters from pupils, a USB with construction photos and information, a list of questions to ask the future pupils and even a can of coke, to see how the marketing may change over the next 50 years. A final piece added before sealing was a heartfelt letter written by the head teacher Mr Dryburgh.

The burial was carried out within the school grounds and over 200 pupils counted down from 10 to 1, whilst the capsule was lowered into the hole, ending with loud cheers and applause from all the excited boys and girls. A brilliant end to a rewarding contract.
