Kaplan – events on site

The project team at Kaplan, based in the Knowledge Quarter, have always been keen to support different events and they have held the following on site in the last few months;

At the end of March the site was visited by eight students from Liverpool University who had the privilege of seeing the skyline of the city centre from the fantastic vantage point at the top of the 13 storey building.

Whilst working in close proximity with other contractors in the Knowledge Quarter, we supported the Creating Horizons event at St George’s Hall on the 1st May. This was in conjunction with other members of the Liverpool Construction Regeneration Group where we participated with over 300 students with interactive activities including “guess my role” and “mecano building”.

Last but not least, in May the site hosted a Kier Lifesaver CPR training session which provides the opportunity to give the vital lifesaving skills we all hope we will never need. 9 supply chain members and Kier colleagues attended and the training included adult and child CPR and how to use a defibrillator. The training was delivered by our CPR Champion Lara Da Rocha Faria from our office in Manchester. They each received a certificate and are now registered as CPR trained with the British Heart Foundation, in turn supporting the Kier commitment to achieve 3000 Kier Lifesavers.
