Nigel Bartlett – AED Donation

Last year Nigel suffered a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) last year whilst working at our project at Turton High School. Due to CPR being administered and an AED being available on the school campus at the time, Nigel survived the heart attack and he has since wanted to do as much as he can to not only thank those that saved him, but to give back to the community.

To support this, Nigel with the help of the company ZOLL, two defibrillators have now been installed. The first one was at Turton School and Nigel and his wife, Karen, went back last week to award certificates to the people that helped to save his life.

The second unit was donated by ZOLL to Nigel to be donated to a place of his choice. He chose Hawthorn Primary School in Doncaster, a school local to where he lives. When this was presented, the Head Teacher, Diane Wakefield promised this would not only be made available to the school but to the surrounding community as well to ensure anyone whose life can be saved, will be.
