NHSBT Barnsley – progress on site

Despite the challenging times we are all facing, our project in Barnsley, the Blood and Transplant Centre is nearing completion.

The Histocompatibility and Immogenetics laboratory, the Red Cell Immunohematology laboratory and hospital services were completed at the end of March, ready for NHSBT’s temperature mapping. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 circumstances, the temperature mapping did not happen and the Client has commenced their works on site today. The office and canteen furniture is now installed and the services to the majority of the building have been tested and commissioned.

Spie, our clean room specialist, are completing their installation ready for testing and commissioning to commence next week and externally, the vehicle wash bays and bike shelters are due to be erected and the gas compound pipework completed with the final project due to be handed over to the Client in May
