Completion of Bishop Barrington School

Last week we achieved practical completion on Phase 1 of Bishop Barrington School, which is the £12 million new Teaching Block situated within the middle of the school site. The project was handed over on programme, which is a credit to the team on site, who have worked throughout the global pandemic in accordance with the CLC and SOP Guidance.

Steve Lynn, Project Manager for Kier said: “I know personally how much planning and co-ordination this has taken, but you’ve got to the end goal as planned with a very happy client. I would like to personally thank everyone involved, for their hard work and commitment to get his across the line.”

Mike Bennett, Headteacher said: “A massive thank you on behalf of the school and it’s community for delivering a stunning building. I know Stuart and I cannot thank you enough.”

Anthony Potts of Department for Education said: “It’s a fantastic building, thank you to Peter and Stuart for all the effort they have put in this week to get the building looking great today. Let’s be fair there has been some effort put in over the last few months, weeks and days by the construction team to get the building ready. The outcome of this effort is the kids have a building to be proud of and they have a positive learning environment that will make a big difference to their futures.”
