Donation to Grimsby Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Following a request via their The Health Tree Foundation charity, the site team got in touch with Donna Howard who organised to donate some new sleepsuits for the poorly babies in their care at Grimsby Hospital.

The units provide care for sick and preterm babies, born of 24 weeks gestation and above and they provide care at special care, high dependency, intensive care and transitional care levels.

The unit at Grimsby’s Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital has eight special care cots, one high dependency and three intensive care cots with an additional four transitional care cots located within the maternity wards.

The staff were delighted with our donation and Katie Hubbert (Community Champion) said: “On behalf of your hospital charity, The Health Tree Foundation at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, we would like to say a big thank you for your donation of baby grows for our babies on Neo Natal Intensive Care. We are all totally in love with them.

It means a lot to know that we can count on donors like you whose generosity makes it possible to help put a smile on our patient’s faces. Not only have you brought a smile to our babies parents faces, you have inspired so many more in your community to support their local hospital charity.

We are big enough to change things yet still small enough to care, listen and learn.

Once again, thank you for helping make a difference, you Health Tree Hero!”
