Durham County Council Headquarters – CCS Visit and Progress

Our project for Durham County Council and their new headquarters is progressing well on site and they have recently had their second Considerate Constructors Visit and they scored:

The project is on week 83 of a 104 week programme and main current site activities are:

  • Completion of the multi storey car park superstructure
  • Pre-cast panel installation to the building facades – only a few weeks remaining until completion of these works
  • Installation of the windows and curtain walling to the building facades, noting the atrium rooflight is nearing completion
  • Internal fit out to all areas of the HQ building, with the raised access flooring being completed in phase 1 of 3
  • External works progressing really well in phase 1 of 6
  • Soft landscaping to the river edge areas has now commenced
  • 2 no passenger lifts now tested and complete, with 3 no further lift installations ongoing with the expected completion in 3-4 weeks
