York St John University Creative Centre – progress on site

Our project for the York St John University to build their new creative centre is currently in week 65 with completion expected at the end of end of August / beginning of September.

Once complete the project will hold a fully function tv studio, theatre area and recital areas within the scheme. The site is currently installing the external cladding, and finishing off the last of the roof sections. Internally M&E has moved onto the wiring stages with walls being finished (plaster/painted).

The main auditorium and stage engineering works are still ongoing at high level and joinery has started with the timber floors and first fix elements underway. The raised acoustic timber floors are due to start next week along with other flooring screed works.

The site recently had their final Considerate Constructors visit where the project received a score of 43 out of 50.
