Ness Castle Primary School – start of steel frame

Works to the Ness Castle Primary School started back in July and the scheme is progressing well on site. The project is in week 19 of 60 and remains on programme. Works taking place on site are:

  • Foundations completed along with under slab drainage
  • Steel work commenced on site on the 6th September
  • Underground drainage complete in car park and formation of same under way
  • Permanent site setup being delivered and installed imminently

The school will serve two new housing developments in Inverness and provide 850 new pupil places with the school set to be one of the largest in the Highlands. It is being constructed in two phases, the first stage will provide 12 classrooms and five nursery play zones and is due for completion in the summer of 2022.
