Progress at Durham History Centre

The £14m Durham History Centre for Durham County Council is progressing well on site and you can take a look at drone footage of the project here.

Included in the works are the refurbishment of the nineteenth century Grade II Listed Mount Oswald Manor House, to turn it into a local history hub, bringing together archive, heritage and registration services at a single location. It will also include the relocation of Durham Register Office to the site.

The project is due for completion in the autumn of 2022.

Staff and subcontractors on the project also recently held a ‘Wear it Pink’ day on Friday 22nd October to raise monies for Breast Cancer Now.

A fantastic £780 was raised!
