Work underway on Ashurst Primary School development

Works have recently begun to deliver a new school, Ashurst Primary School for St Helens Borough Council, and we recently held a turf cutting event to celebrate this. Working alongside the Construction business will be Kier Design & Business Services and Kier Professional Services.

The project is a multimillion-pound investment to increase classroom capacity and provide support to children with special educational needs. The old school will be demolished, creating new landscape and playground areas.

Sean Fenner, regional director at Kier Construction North & Scotland said: “We are delighted to be starting works to Ashurst Primary School for St Helens Borough Council and this builds upon our extensive experience within the primary education sector in the North West of England. We are committed to delivering a project that not only provides new facilities for the whole community but also leaves a lasting legacy for years to come.

“Our long-standing relationship with Scape continues with this project being the first project awarded to Kier on the new Scape National Construction Framework for England & Wales. To date, Kier has delivered over 1,000 Scape projects across Kier Group.”
