Completion of Guisborough Hospital project

We have recently completed and handed over the £5.5m refurbishment at Guisborough Hospital to NHS Property Services.  The project was delivered through the P21+ framework.

The works comprised the wholescale internal refurbishment of a previous wing of the hospital in Guisborough, North Yorkshire.  The new building provides radiology, dental, physiotherapy, and podiatry consultation/treatment facilities for the local community alongside administrative support space over two floors.

The original building was significantly repurposed with extensive demolition and alterations to the internal layouts of the building. The external façade works involved extensive repair and repointing of the original structure and masonry, renewal of windows, and installation of feature pods along with renewal of the existing roof. A new extended entrance and canopy have been introduced to the building to provide a welcoming arrival to the new facility. Constructed on a restricted and residentially landlocked site, additional parking has been created along with hard and soft landscaping, this much-awaited facility will provide excellent patient services to the local area.
