Newmarket Waste HQ – progress on site

The Newmarket Waste scheme for Leeds City Council is currently in its final stages and thanks to everyone’s hard work and dedication to collaborative working, the project is on target to handover soon.

At present we are laying tarmac to the west car park and have completed the 15000m2 of concrete to the east car park depot area with only the ramps to the workshop to complete. Internally we are carrying out final finishing works such as decoration, flooring, and final fix sanitaryware, with live testing in its advanced stages.

Steven Fry, Project Manager said: “On the project, we have all been fully focused on collaborative working and have been committed to sustainable working. The recent considerate contractor score of 45/45 is a testament to everyone’s hard work and commitment to leaving a legacy long after the project is completed. One example is the use of HVO diesel fuel in all of our plant on site which helps to continue Kier’s drive to be net-zero carbon by 2045.

My thanks to everyone involved in this project and the continued commitment you all show to completing this project for our client Leeds City Council.”
