Gary Wintersgill – Managing Director


Gary leads the Kier Regional Building North & Scotland business and has extensive experience in construction and manufacturing, having previously served as Managing Director of the Kier Regional Building Northern business for 20 years.



Dan Doherty – Regional Director, Northern

Dan is the regional director for our Northern region, Kier Regional Building North & Scotland, covering the North East, Yorkshire and East Midlands with offices in Newcastle, Leeds and Nottingham.  Dan is responsible for the successful delivery of our regional portfolio, bringing experience from an extensive portfolio of major, local schemes for public sector customers and private sector investors.

Dan has over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry and specialises in people management and development to ensure the best possible outcomes for our regional customers.

Sean Fenner – Regional Director, North West

Sean joined Kier in 1996 and has over 25 years experience in the industry.  His current role is Regional Director for our North West business where he holds overall responsibility for the successful delivery of our regional portfolio. He brings experience working in our Middle East, UK and the Far East businesses where he has delivered an extensive portfolio of major schemes across the residential, commercial, education and infrastructure sectors.

Phil McDowell – Regional Director, Scotland

Phil joined the Construction Industry in 2000 and he has over 20 years of experience in the industry.  His current role is the Regional Director for our Scotland hub and holds overall responsibility for the successful delivery of our regional portfolio.

Phil is also the Safety, Health & Environmental Director for the business as well and ensures that Kier’s robust quality management and safety processes are maintained throughout the business.

Callum Leslie – Commercial Director

As Commercial Director for the Regional Building North & Scotland business, Callum is responsible for creating and developing high-performance teams capable of delivering profit targets on individual projects, reviewing tender opportunities, negotiating contract terms and conditions, and developing supply chain strategies.

Callum has over 30 years experience in the construction industry and has held roles with both regional and national contractors.

Jim Campbell – Pre-Construction Director

Jim has worked in the Construction industry for over 20 years and started his journey as a Quantity Surveyor.  He is now the Pre-Construction Director for our North & Scotland business and his focus is on work winning across the region.

His main achievements in this role are securing positions on numerous local and national frameworks which has led to sustained growth in revenue and profitability for the business.

Sean O’Callaghan – Framework Director

Sean has over 30 years` experience in the construction industry in a career that has seen him hold senior positions with companies in civil engineering, house building, development and construction in operational roles.

As Framework Director for the North of England and Scotland, Sean oversees our national frameworks and key regional framework. He has expertise in forming collaborative, partnering teams and brings lessons learned and best practice from across our multi-sector frameworks to add value to our client`s projects.
