Client: The Highland Council I Value: £34m I Completed: October 2020 I Description of works: As part of The Highland Council’s (THC) school improvement programme, we designed and built a replacement school for Alness Academy. As well as demolishing the existing school building, we provided an ultra-modern learning environment for 660 students and their teachers. The two-storey building also features impressive community sports facilities, including a six-lane, 25-metre swimming pool, a four-court games hall, gymnasium, two floodlit 3G pitches and playing fields. Christ The Word Through School, Rhyl

Ponteland School & Leisure Centre
Client: Northumberland County Council I Value: £42.7m I Completed October 2021 I Facilities: Single stage D&B project to construct a Primary & Secondary School, Leisure Centre and Fire Station all co-located within one building in Ponteland, Northumberland. It will be built on the existing Ponteland Leisure Centre site, which shall remain operational during the build. The project also includes for demolition of the existing high school and leisure centre.

Queen Margaret Academy
Client: Hub South West Scotland and South Ayrshire Council I Value: £35m I Completion: May 2020 I Description of works: The design and build of the new Academy will cater for 800 pupils with modern classrooms, interactive ICT, a large games hall, two gyms, two all-weather pitches and hard games courts. The building will also house Psychological Services and a Supported Learning Centre, which are already based at QMA. The new Academy was built in the grounds of the existing school and the existing building was demolished after the new school opened with the site fully landscaped. Turton High School, Bolton
Client: Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council I Value: £2.8m I Completed: September 2018 I Facilities: The new school will have a new kitchen and dining hall, allowing the school’s two existing dining halls and kitchens to be converted into education space. This will enable the school to expand, accommodating additional pupils. Kier are carrying out both the new build and refurbishment works. The refurbishment works will primarily take place during school holidays so as not to disrupt the school’s activities.
