Food donation by DPOW Hospital site team

The Diana Princess of Wales site team organised a donation of food before Christmas to help those less fortunate than ourselves during the festive period. The donation went to CARE (Christian Action Resource Enterprise) who are dedicated to relieving poverty, hardship and distress in North East Lincolnshire by engaging with some of the hardest to reach groups in the most deprived estates across Grimsby and the surrounding areas.

Sub-contractors coming to site were asked to donate a pack of biscuits for the cause. A special thanks to Kingspan, who went the extra mile and donated a whole shopping bag.  Overall the site managed to donate over 50kg of food.

Items included, Christmas puddings, cereals, chocolates, pasta, and tinned food. Sarah at CARE was delighted to receive so much, and thanked the team for their efforts.

The site team aim to donate a box every month to this worthy cause.
