Support from The Kier Foundation to Palmerston School

Following the completion of Palmerston School in 2017, Wayne Blair (Project Manager) and the supply chain team supported a charity raffle to raise vital monies for the school.

As well as this, Wayne applied for matched funding for the event from The Kier Foundation. The Foundation is an independantly registered charity which supports both Kier’s charity partner and other charitable causes close to the hearts of our employees and the communities to which our businesses operate in. Since the charity started in 2012 the Foundation has donated over £1.5 million to good causes.

After applying for the funding, Wayne was delighted to receive a letter confirming that the Foundation would increase the raffle funds by £200 and the school have spent the money on purchasing rainbow beanbags to support the therapy sessions with students.
