Progress at Sunningdale SEND School

The £12.5m Sunningdale SEND School for Sunderland City Council is progressing well on site and you can take a look at drone footage of the project here.

Current works on site are:

  • Internal and external drainage
  • Ground floor slab installation
  • Roofing works including kalzip pitched roof and a sarna membrane roof
  • New 278 access road with deep drainage
  • Installation of the hydro therapy pool

This is a new SEN school for children with severe learning difficulties and disabilities which will provide the pupils attending with a facility that is designed and built specifically to meet their needs. The project is due for completion in the summer of 2022.
