Kier 2020 Summit Challenge

As part of the Kier 2020 Summit Challenge, we decided to climb Whernside by the Yorkshire team and Snowdon by the North West team. On the 10th July, staff from all 3 offices made their way to the respective meeting points in preparation for the challenge ahead. We could not have asked for a better day, weather wise. Instead of being the scorching hot 30 degrees we have seen recently, it was cloudy with a breeze for most of the day – perfect walking weather!

A few facts on the peaks walked are;

Whernside – 8.7 miles; 428 metres; 3.5 hours

Snowdon – 7 miles; 723 metres; 6 hours

The aim of the event was for variety of Build UK offices to get to each peak at the same time, hold up the Kier flag and post a picture of the event on Twitter – which we all managed to do. Some photos are from the day below;
