Flintshire Adult Day Centre – Elfed School Careers Event

The Kier Construction team at Connah’s Quay and Flintshire Adult Day Care were delighted to share their knowledge and experiences with the students from Elfed High School at the annual career event.

The project includes the construction of a new adult day care centre with community and craft rooms to replace the existing building.

The event was attended by over 100 students and their families and supported by Mike Atherton (Quantity Surveyor) and Sheryl Moore (CSR Manager). Mike was able to discuss graduate placements and opportunities through his studies and work experience at Kier and Sheryl was able to discuss the apprentice route as we have recently advertised, apprentice opportunities, the two new intakes that have just started with Kier studying site management and finally the process of appointing further apprentices for design and commercial management.

They were also able to share the information from the Shaping Your World campaign and provide further details on the 2000 different job roles that Kier offer.
