Completion of Outwood Academy

The ‘fast track’ Outwood Academy project began in September 2020 and we have recently handed over the completed project for the Outwood Grange Academies Trust under the DfE Schools Framework. This is the latest project in a number of educational facilities that have been successfully delivered by the team in the North East over the last couple of years.

The works comprised the wholescale internal refurbishment of the previous Inland Revenue Office building in Middlesbrough, to provide temporary accommodation for the Academy for a period of three years, whilst a new school is constructed.

Whilst only temporary accommodation, the Academy was constructed to an exceptional standard with all of the normal facilities to support the curriculum including fully equipped resistant materials, food technology and science labs with music and drama and activity studios and all new kitchen and dining facilities.

Tony Butterfield of the DfE said: “Please also thank the team from me too. Great effort to turn this challenging project out on time and to such a high standard of finish.”
