CSR Award – Ponteland Schools & Leisure Development

We are delighted to confirm that our project, Ponteland Schools & Leisure Development has won a Bronze award at this years International CSR Excellence Awards.

Some project achievements for this were:

• Eliminate single use plastic cups on site by purchasing 550ml aluminium bottles for everyone
• Eliminate floor standing water coolers, sanitation kits and mineral bottles
• Installation of a water filtration system
• Employed a local family-owned business to run the on site canteen. This reduced the carbon footprint by 25% as people didn’t travel to the shops on their breaks.

The awards are organised via The Green Organisation for companies that have a heart . “Responsible, caring companies are in a privileged position to be able to help those who depend on them for their livelihoods, and others less fortunate. They can be a realistic force for good. We want to recognise and reward their efforts in this direction.”
